It’s very easy and self-service. Simply browse the available horses for sale on the ‘Our Horses’ page, click on the horse and percentage quantity you’d like, and complete your online purchase. You can also subscribe to the website for updates on GFG news or new horse acquisitions.
GFG focuses on quality horses to give members the best chance for success. Overnight horses typically range from $20k to $85k, depending on the horse’s ability. Yearling purchases generally align with this price range, focusing on the best pedigree available.
Overnight horses typically race three times a month and approximately 30-35 times a year, with races offering $10k-$35k purses at top tracks. Stakes horses race around 10 times in their 2-year-old season and 20 times as 3-year-olds, with stakes races offering $20k-$100k+ and finals ranging from $100k-$300k.
The average cost is between $36-$48 per month for each 1% stake owned in a horse that is training and racing. Costs may decrease if the horse is not racing or on an extended break. Costs could be higher if there are unexpected veterinary expenses.
GFG does not assess a management fee per horse or take a percentage of purse earnings. All horse acquisition prices are available at cost with no markup, except for a 5% commission on all transactions in the GFG Marketplace and Auctions.
